Description

Our pain pumps are disposable infusers that are filled with local anesthetic for constant infusion into the surgical site via a small surgically-placed catheter to provide non-narcotic, regional analgesia post-op pain management for 1-3+ days following surgery. As surgeries continue to transition from acute care to alternate site, Our pain pumps provides a very effective, disposable option for optimal patient comfort and recovery. Our pain pumps are latex free, offered at a lower purchase price than the competitor, and has unique features not available on the market leader's pump including a patient-preferred bolus option. The market is largely untapped with significant sales growth coming from accounts purchasing from the competition, utilizing systemic anesthesia, and any accounts sending patients home shortly after surgery. Our primary competitor has a direct sales force, but conversions have been very successful in markets where we have solid representation.

Economic buyers/Call Points = Thoracic, Plastics, General, GYN, URO, and Orthopedic Surgeons. Our pain pump is a concept sell since many surgeons are content doing what they've always done to treat post-op pain. Costs of the disposable pumps are typically low for a hospital or surgery center (reimbursement is always an option) and the account costs for narcotics can be reduced.Commission = Our commission structure is highly competitive. Product training can be completed in your home territory. Dedicated RN support is available to assist in converting new business.
Independent Rep Profile = The ideal independent or distributor rep would be an established OR-based sales rep and have strong relationships in Materials Management, OR Management, and surgeons of multiple specialties. Successful representatives see their roles as teachers and consultants in the Operating Room. They will not sell just the pump, they will sell the modality for treating post-op pain locally with a continuous infusion of local anesthetic. However, the ideal person would also have the knowledge and integrity to tell a surgeon when this product might not be the best option.

Territories Available = Nationwide opportunities exist.
Field Assistance = Available from the Regional Manager as little or as often as needed

Training Provided = In-territory training will be provided (1 full day) with ongoing field training as needed.
